Welcome to Yoga Buddhist

Yoga Buddhist is a journal of my own exploration of Yoga and Buddhism and the synthesis of the two practices. Yoga Buddhist pursues an interdisciplinary approach that merges the insights and practices of yoga with Buddhist mindfulness and meditation. Practitioners may find correspondence with related approaches such as Insight Yoga, Integral Buddhism, Yin Yoga and Integral Yoga.

Before you continue, you should know that this site is based some premises that you may or may not agree with:

  • I don’t look at Buddhism or Dharma teaching as a “religion,” but as a means of attaining freedom from attachment and a way of seeing reality.
  • That Yogic philosophy and Buddhism share many of the same central tenets.
  • Morality is central to Yoga and Buddhist practice.
  • Compassion is central to Yoga and Buddhist practice.

For me, Dharma and Yoga are one and the same.
